A fun and exciting adaptation of the movie Hairspray. Tracy is a confident and cheeky teenager with a passion for dancing. It is her dream to participate in her town’s most popular, televised dance show. Tracy is faced with many challenges throughout her journey because her physique does not fit what society deems as “fit to dance”, but Tracy wholeheartedly trusts in herself and will stop at nothing to achieve her goals. She teaches us that there’s no such thing as being “perfect”, because we’re all beautiful in our own individual way. Tracy knows she was born to dance and she is not afraid to express herself just the way she is. A funky, positive and thought-provoking musical. With her admirable attitude, Tracy inspires us to stand up for ourselves, to respect each other and to accept one another just the way we are. Hairspray is a theatrical version designed and created for children in the process of learning the English language. It is developed from a simple, dynamic text and is fully adaptable to student comprehension level. Accompanied by a repertoire of original songs and choreography, beautiful and colourful scenery, and of course, the participation and collaboration of young learners.
